Resleton

A suite of M4L devices allowing control of Resolume and other OSC-enabled tools from Ableton Live. Designed for multimedia collaboration between audio and visual media in realtime, interactive contexts.

Simple MaxCSV

An easy-to-use tool in Max/MSP for converting CSV-format data into MIDI, for sonification and multimedia control.

Fluency (2021)

Music for Norbert De La Cruz III’s piece Fluency, premiered as part of Juilliard’s New Dances program. Scored for live string quartet and an electronics track featuring location recordings, granularized medieval instruments, bluegrass instruments, the Slovak fujara and a whole lot more.

Tap Synth

Tools for synthesizer (and multimedia) control via tap dance. Also works for drums!

Circuit Playground Interactive Media Firmware + Max Patch

A basic firmware for the Adafruit Circuit Playground that send serial data from built-in sensors plus a Max patch that parses that data into usable MIDI/OSC for multimedia control. This was designed as a starting point for my students to develop their own versions, but has been useful as-is.

 Merce Cunningham’s Sounddance at Juilliard (2018)

Performance controller design and audio implementation for a new, live interactive method for performing David Tudor’s multichannel electronic score.

Circuit Kisser at Juilliard (2019)

Interactive visual design for progressive-jazz-synthesizer band Circuit Kisser’s performance at Juilliard’s Beyond the Machine festival. Visuals were triggered and modulated by Sensory Percussion sensors on the drum set as well as analysis of audio feeds from the band members’ instruments.
